Stupid MOT question

What do I need to take with me to an MOT?

Been looking at all the paperwork infront of me and haven't a clue

Anyone care to enlighten me?

If you take your old certificate they'll date the new one to start from the end of your old one.

If you dont take your old one they'll start the new one from the date you got your car tested.

The Log book registration document (V5?)

And the car .

Car
Keys
Clothes
Shoes
Wallet (cash if you're MOT place is useless like the one i go to)

Your Car.
Your Self.
Your Cash.

And a packet of fags whether you smoke or not. Offering one to the M.O.T. inspector is always a good way to get a bit of chat going. Then stand Well out the way.
If you have the chance get the kettle on and get the Tea out.

E.G.
Got a Tea machine mate.
No we make our own.
Shall i make us both a cuppa then.

Bah all the local places are busy today and my MOT runs out at the end of the day

Got it booked in for Thursday though at my local garage :> 5 mins walk from work \0/
