Hi all, I bought a Dell laptop with a normal HDD. Compared to my 2.5 year old pc that sports an SSD it feels really slow, so I wanted to put an SSD in my laptop. I am looking at an mSata, as they are cheap and I really only need 30 GB tops.
My questions:
- Is an mSata noticeably faster than a 7200 rpm HDD?
- if I plug in an mSata, does it show as a standard drive in Windows, so that I can make a fresh install to it? Or does it work in the background, never to be addressed directly?
- Is there a current "best" mSata, the same way the Samsung 830 is currently (one of) the best SSD's available?
