Stupid Q - Page File

Hi Guys.

I've got windows XP SP2 and i've set my page file to 6gb, but I need to drop it down to the usual 1.5gigs.

Can any one refresh my memory on how to do this?

Right click my computer > properties > advanced > settings (under performance) > advanced > change (under virtual memory).

How many people bother putting their paging file on a different disk to the O/S?

i do. i have tried deleting it all togther but windows fails to comply. no matter how many times i set it to 0 its still there. smetimes it even says there's no pagefile but when u open the task mngr there it is.

I have a fixed PageFile of 3Gb on a separate hard disk. I used to have PageFiles on each of my hard drives, but with plenty of RAM I don't bother.

My personal setup was to make a 4GB partition on the start of my raid0, ive then setup the swap file to use purely this space and done the reg-hack to hide the drive.
