Stupid question building my new rig (psu install)

Got a Corsair hx520w

want to connect my sata drive,Sapphire 2900 pro and 3 fans and my dvd drive

but i havent upgraded in a while and im new to this psu stuff.the problem is what rails do i use?? are they all different volts per rail as i see on the psu the connecters are 3,12,5,8,12

any help

You can't plug the wrong device to the wrong cables..

i know which cables to connect to my sata drive and everything else but dont know which connecter on the psu to connect to at the other end to

You can't connect them into the wrong holes. If it goes into the PSU it's in the right hole.

If you read the motherboard manual, it will tell what should connect what to what. As I said, if it fit's then it's the right cable. You don't have to woory about the 5v, 12v rails.
