I bought some DDR2 Geil ram in the recent This Week Only, with the intention of using it when I upgrade to a C2D rig.

As I don't have the rest of the stuff yet i thought I'd stick it in my IC7-Max3 mobo with my P4 ..... but could I get it to fit ..... could I *******!!

I noticed the slot in the ram is in a slightly different place to my DDR OCZ ram, so I assume it won't fit in the Max3 - is that right?

Cheers,

Chris

Correct, unfortunately your motherboard does not support DDR2. Come to think of it, (correct me if I'm wrong) but I don't think any S478 motherboard supports DDR2.

Unfortunatley correct :( I tried a stick of ram from a S478 board in a 775 board and no joy, pitty realy it would have got me out of a tight spot.

Ah well .... looks like the Geil's gonna have to sit and wait til I get the rest of the bits!

Thanks guys.
