With my Samsung DVD-HD950 DVD player, it came with a HDMI to DVI cable for connecting the DVD player to a DVI socket on the TV, and also a HDMI to HDMI cable which I will use to connect to my TV. Am I right in saying the cable is backwards compatible, so I can connect it from my DVI socket on my graphics card to the HDMI socket on my TV to use it as a monitor? Or am I just being silly?!
