Stupid trim level names

Ahh, Jap cars. My next door neighbour used to have a really old imported Carina which had a sticker on the back beside the badge saying something along the lines of "Super freedom emotion" or some crap like that. I'm not sure if it was a trim level.

Sounds like a slogan for sanitary towels!!

Jap imports should have a special even more amusing thread. This thread is only for UK market cars. The reason is simple - the Japs win the stupid name competition by such a huge margin it would be unfair on everyone else, plus the UK names are deliberately chosen whereas the Jap stuff tends to come out of their love but no real understanding of our language.

Ah yes... One of my old cars was a fiesta flight....
Why flight?
...
Maybe it was because the interior was comfy... No, it looked like a rather fat child who had just eaten the all day breakfast decided to barf all over it and the designer used that image to create the pattern on the fabric...

Have you ever flown with EasyJet or RyanAir?

You'll be crammed into a tiny uncomfortable space with a nasty seat pattern, it will take you forever to get anywhere because something has gone wrong with the vehicle, the food will be crap and expensive and it will generally be a miserable experience made even worse by all the people around you.

Just like doing a long motorway trip in a Fiesta.

I'm sorry, but I have to give credit where credit is due, Ryan Air from Southern Spain to Manchester was the single worst experience of my life. I'd rather of been on a trip from John O' Groats to Cape Town with Fox and a permanant running commentary in a Corsa b then do that flight again. So I'd bite your hand off for a trip in a Fiesta.

Daihatsu Town Cube

Honda joy-machine

Isuzu Big horn :p

Subaru Gravel Express

Suzuki every joy pop turbo

Mazda Bongo Friendee

OMG FOX in VX are the worst eva shocker ;)

Although I completely agree that all these entry level cars have meaningless names, it's obvious to most people that they are just using them to differentiate a multitude of models.. I don't see where the harm is, or why on earth it would bother you, unless of course you had an irrational hatred for something that you feel compelled to keep ridiculing.. :)

i hate stupid car names
eg
Nissan QASHQAI
renault Koleos

I'm hoping the Cashcai isn't getting made another seeing as though Nissan are shutting the plant where they make them at Sunderland I think? :p

I'm sad for the people who are losing jobs but if Nissan continue to make **** like the Cube and Qashqai, what can you expect :p

Put your Vauxhall Defence Force uniform away, no manufacturer is safe in this thread including BMW.

This is going to seem like an Anti Vauxhall rant but its not, honest, its just that unfortunately they are the worst
It's not a vauxhall defence uniform, it's just my 'common sense should prevail' uniform ;)

But anyway, OT, I 100% agree that these names are very daft and I clearly am not their target audience, because it actually would put me off buying a car named 'breeze' or 'studio' or 'friendee bongo'..

^Yes, very popular.

Something to do with the design so it's small enough to fit into lower tax brackets but has more interior room and boot space that most cars in the higher tax bracket.
