it's starting to wind me up now frame rates are constant with no massive dips. but the game just seems to stutter quite often and it can get very annoying i've checked gpu and cpu usage and they are fine.

Tried updating soundcard drivers? This game has problems with creative card drivers (audigy and x-fi) + older onboard drivers causing the sound to cause stuttering

Is your graphics card overclocked? If not I'd consider first simply tweaking the ccc sliders, just a little at a time mind.

yeah 5770 overclocked to 960/1375 i definately don't think it's the gpu stuttering i tried stock setting 850/1200 and even with the game at iit's minimum setting it still stutters. i'm using onboard sound for this mobo http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-230-GI

i need to find where the problem is coming from cause it's really killing the game experience

I've seen a few threads now 5-10 with people complaining about this issue. All with high end hardware. One guy even had an SSD, so atleast we can rule out hard drive read performance. When I say we, I of course mean I too suffer from this.

FPS is consistantly 40-60fps at 1920x1080 DX10, apart from the frame skip every 5-6 seconds. Happens even in static scenes with nothing going on around me. Very annoying. I've put the game on hold until there's a fix. Messed around with every conceivable setting and Nvidia CP tricks.

I would be ****ed if I had paid for the game!

Everything works fine for me. 5770 on cat 10.3s. In DX11 (just tesselation), Very high, 1650 x 1080 it gets around 25-30fps. Sometimes it will dip to 15 but it doesnt randomly do it and doesnt stutter.

GTA4 for some reason doesnt play at all, 1-3fps all the time. All other games I have work perfectly - BC2, AvP3, Just Cause 2 and Starcraft 2
