Stuttering windows

I have two WD 3200KS connected to the read SATA ports, just added a WD 2500KS to port 3 or 4, when copying data to the drive windows halts every 30 seconds or so. The Two 3200KS work fine also. PC in sig. Deleted parition as well thought might be knackered, new partition/format does the same. BIOS is set to auto for all.

the 2500KS has been working fine in another PC.

Are all the drives set as single disks?

Yup. Windows only stutters once I start copying to the 250GB.

Have you tried running HDTach or something to see how the 250 is performing?

Do you get any options on the SATA controller properties in Device Manager? Caching etc..
