I have a predator 34x monitor. It's nice.
Only downside to widescreen is the fact I can't maximise two windows easily to two monitors.
I develop software. It's handy to have say a web browser on one monitor and my dev env on the other.
There are various things you can do to work round it but just having two monitors is simpler.
Or three even.
My monitor might be an older version as I bought it in 2016.
