I am about to purchase the following kit (currently have 3ghz p4 northwood / abit max3 / 1gb pc4000 / 6800GT)
MSI K9N NeoF nforce 550 (AM2) DDR2 motherboard
Corsair 2gb DDR2 PC5300C5 (2x1gb)
AMD 64 X2 Dual core 5000+ 2.6ghz AM2
BFG 8600GT
~£278.43
My budget is £350.
I need the system to run supreme commander, oblivion, and in the future starcraft II and maybe crysis. I would upgrade the 8600 in 12 months probably.
Any opinions?
