I really thought they was going to get him out alive. They may have done, but the little lad couldn’t survive.

Absolutely tragic, life is so cruel. Can’t imagine how his poor mum is feeling now :(

Many respects to the team who worked tirelessly to try to rescue him.

That's horrible, it seems like something that just shouldn't happen these days, that it shouldn't take that long to get some ropes set up and get someone out of a well. So sad :(
 
I had no idea about this story until this evening. Apparently it happened on Tuesday? Did he die from the fall?

It's so heart destroying.
 
Seeing all the massive amounts of people turn up to help dig in the photos really did bring tears to my eyes.
 
He held out for 4 days. It did seem early yesterday on the news that they were very close to reaching him. Not this time unfortunately. RIP
 
I was expecting to hear one of those wonderful good news stories and outcomes. I hate it when I'm wrong.

Really makes your heart ache thinking about how the parents must feel and what was going through his mind during those few days. So sad.

It was less than 10" wide at the opening, and narrowed further as it went down. An adult couldn't fit in it.
 
I thought he'd come out alive and everything was going well.

Then refreshed the page and found out he had died.

Very sad story, and must have been an awful experience for him. RIP
