Suck or Blow Mrs!

ok i have a pretty low end watercooling system (coolriver deluxe but with newer pump) i have 2 120mm akasa fans either side of my radiator which is mounted at the back of the case sucking pushing air out of the case.

am happiesh with my temps, 32c idle, 36c ish doing things and then 45c ish under heavy load 9cod2 etc)

My question is would I notice any difference having the air being sucked in rather than being blown out. I also have a small fan at front of case, near hardrives. Which way should that be, blowing in or blowing out?

also guys, is there a piece of software that will help me control the speed of the two fans that i have on my radiator, they are both attached to my mobo, i have tried speedfan but diden't seem to work, unless i was doing something wrong.

Try it and see what it does. Reckon pulling in at front and blowing out at rear will be best.

You can 5-7 volt mod your fans to run quiet m8.

I had the 3 panflo 120mm fan`s blowing from inside my pc,worked a treat.

suck suck is best. i.e 2 fans on one side sucking.

rewire them to a 5v supply rather than a 12v one!!!

ah ok! I did an experiment tonight.

Yes suck suck (love u long time), pushing air out of case as i originally had seems to work best, it drops the temp back to normal quicker after heavy load.

isn't it all to do with potential difference thats way 7v works.

12v - 5v = 7v (which is the potential difference)

I just rewired all mine up to the 12v supply. Noisy but good temps

you'd be surprised by running them at 7v how the temps won't change that much but the noise will

Be aware that when using the 7 volt trick if the Fan breaks/Gets Jammed it is possible to short the 5V and 12V lines together which may not be pretty.
