If you're going to splash the cash on a system that will allow you to use your GTX to it's fullest, I would advise going Core 2 Duo rather than Socket 939.

To be honest when i was on a pentium 4 3.2 at 4ghz all i read was how much of an improvement gaming on an amd 64 at 2.6ghz or so would be, i eventually made the swap and didn't notice any massive difference. At the mo im on an FX60 and i very much doubt id see a massive leap by going to core 2.

I was pretty happy with my pentium 4 and got sucked into the hype, i got an amd with a dfi motherboard and had endless headaches getting that thing to work properly. Im considering upgrading to penryn later in the year though.

I was also sucked into the hype when I had a Pentium 4 3ghz, everyone said how much better an AMD Athlon 3500+ would be, I got a 3700+ and tbh at its stock of 2.2ghz it was not that much better tbh, had to overclock it to 2.8ghz tog et any difference from the Pentium 4 3ghz, but I had to upgrade anyway because my DFi 860PE Infinity went faulty  , still got that mobo now, not that its ever going to be used again lol.

Must be able to send it back as its not needed now. Unsuitable for purpose

Seems like a poor excuse for a RMA though. They will probably say you should have checked it was suitable before order ;/

Im not gonna send it back, ive ordered a mobo off ebay, (abit kn8 sli) just to tide me over till i build my new system. :)

Did you get my e-mail i send you about fitting this card in a shuttle ???
If your shuttle sn25p has the same inside as my sn26p then you can get it to fit...But you do have to mod the 8800gtx casing for the shuttle motherboard capacitors to go up into...

Insides are similar but the drive cage is closer to the side than in the sn26p. Had been like a half inch or so further to the left it would have fitted in. :(

Didn't get any email though, still waiting on one from evga to set up my warranty.

Does that asus board need a "terminator" card in one slot to route the lanes to the first slot or is it a bios option? How much you looking for it.

EVGA Support is awfull, I sent them 2 emails regarding Part number error on my card and they never replied, I never knew you needed to contact them though for Warranty.
