Hey guys in need of some help, no idea why this issue is happening but I can be using my PC then suddenly everything freezes, screens go black with no input to the monitors and then my PC just goes off and comes back on again.

After it shuts down and comes back on often the PC tells me my overclock settings failed and it has been reset (I'm not overclocking) so I have to go reset my boot order and etc. Sometimes it saves, sometimes it doesn't.

I have no real idea what the possible issue could be here, in my Windows event viewer I'm getting LoadPerf errors with the ID's 3011, 3012, 3009, and 2007 recently. I've tried using the LODCTR tool but that hasn't seemed to fix the issue.

Any ideas where else to go to try and fix it?

Download memtest and see if you have any issues with that. Would be one of the first things I would check if I was getting random crashes

Memtest is running now. Hopefully its that, don't really want to have to reinstall Windows. Such a pain, especially with slow internet.

If memtest comes back fine then I'll try changing the CPU voltage

its cpu/vtt for the integrated memory controller, usually with 16gb you'll need more than stock 1.05v

cpu voltage is a separate setting which is fine atm

Ah ok, I see how it is a possible issue. I'll adjust it once at least one pass of memtest is done just to see if it fixes my issue. Seems odd the issue has only just arisen but then again I know these things can just appear out of the blue.

check your fw on your m4 ssd aswell, those have a freezing bug with 5400 hour use, fixed by flashing to latest fw

use ssdlife to check the hour use and fw version

it can still randomly freeze if cpu/vtt is too low

I know I've updated past the 5400 hour error with my SSD, although I'll just check just incase.

Raingul, I've been running it for 1 hour 10 minutes and I'm at 86% of a pass. 16GB takes a long time :(

I had random reboots, i checked event viewer. Had lots of....

Windows Kernel event ID 41 error "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first.

My 850W CoolerMaster Silent Pro, was replaced, afterwards no more reboots.
Looked later and cm psu was stuffed with dust.

gtx 570.

Memtested all 16GB for 32 hours and pushed out some errors, tested individual sticks for 4 passes each to no errors, I guess it could be the VTT issue.

Only problem is I can't find a 'CPU VTT' in my BIOS, I see 'CPU I/O', is this the same thing? Currently it is set to 1.05V so I'd imagine that is what I'm looking for.
