Suggestions for uni computer upgrade

Humm im going to be mean and say you'll probably do fine just wacking 8gig of ram onto a matx 775 board with the q6600, mini ninja and some big hard drives as the performance difference wont be massive from core2 to phenom (well not like jumping from an old school pentium 4 to a core 2 for example)

My tip if your flying over the pond is to get a courier to take you pc over for you (or blag a special car trip from family/friends) as getting a pc on a plane is a pain :( (or do what iv finally plummited to and get a laptop)

aye i've got another friend from here who's driving, he said he could take it over for me in the car (no room for me though lol)
