Sugo & suitable CPU cooler

@Tute : I don't put pcs on my desk and try not to have them in the room where I work. Video/mouse/sound/usb are all extended via cat6.

The sugo can sit on the floor with my shuttle.

Yes silencing the CPU fan is the easy bit but what about the PSU ? What PSU do you recommend thats gonna be silent without the burden of high costs.

My Hiper can't be heard above the case fans, however if buying new i'd recommend the Corsair HX PSUs. They appear to be made by Seasonic, with different branding but the same high quality and silence.

Yup exactly word for word as per the reviews ;)

Nothing wrong with the Hiper. But i've heard stories of them dying and sometimes taking hardware with them.

Mine's been solid, and it's had some pretty heavy stuff to power.

Yes, but they are the same cooler - the fan is only held on with 4 very small screws.

am i right in thinking that the NT-06 standard cooler will never fit in the sugo and that the NT-06 lite is the way to go?

You can remove the fan and run it passive, the enrmax PSU's are suppose ot work great with this heatsink..., although wouldn't use anything higher than a 75watt CPU...

75watt? no idea what mine uses.

i've ordered the lite version now anyway. Only going to be running a 146 opteron with it....not going to over clock it.

dont think its worth buying an aftermarket cooler - no overclocking matx conroe boards out yet is there? well, decent ones?
correct me if im wrong :)

There is a rumour that the Abit IP-95 might clock well, but I don't have any inclination buy another 'maybe' board and the people who did buy them haven't reported back yet, which could be;

a) It clocks really well and they can't stop playing BF2142
b) It doesn't clock and they're ashamed to tell us

OC Wattage = TDP * ( OC MHz / Stock MHz) * ( OC Vcore / Stock Vcore )^2

TDP for E6300 = 65W
OC MHz = 2.33
Stock MHz = 1.86

Oc Vcore = ?
Stock Vcore=1.3525V

As you are likely to be running stock voltage anyway I reckon your power is going to be 65 x 1.25 = 81W. It's not likely to be much different to that.
