Hi all,

Looking to update a gfx card soon-ish on an older system for a relative. It's an i5-4690k on a H81 chipset board, and using a corsair CX 400w psu (edit - with a single PCIE lead and connector). Currently has an amd 7770 1GB card, but not up to much these days.

What would be a good match graphics card wise before needing to consider replacing everything (or at least psu)? Something like a 1050ti maybe? 1080p res and casual gaming/fps, not after blistering frame rates.

I know the GFX market is an expensive mess right now but after an idea of what I should look out for either new or 2nd hand. Budget would be about £200 or so max but don't really want to go too mad.

Thanks.

Wait. It’s the only sensible option right now if you’re on a budget.

Sorry, probably not what you wanted to hear.

I did consider that one, but noticed that the 1650 super cards are slightly cheaper - if they had any in stock that is. 2nd hand cards would be limited by availability and only having 1 PCIE power connector/400w psu as well I would guess. Not sure at what point it starts becoming overkill for the existing spec.
Put a thread in the wanted section of the members market.
