I thought I would share a bizzare story that happened to a friend of my mothers. I don't know the woman, but my mother really has no reason to make this stuff up.

though to be fair thats how these things get passed around - usually a good story (like this one would be, if it were true) and rather than say my friend's friend's friend or whatever people just say this happened to a 'mate of mine'
