RM bid is £85m, from SSN just now:

It is our understanding there is a world-record bid of over £85m pounds on the table from Real Madrid - and it has been on the table for over a week. The bid does not include any players going from the Bernebeu to White Hart Lane. We also understand Bale is aware of the offer and is becoming more and more frustrated with the situation. We've been told chairman Daniel Levy is currently in Miami and that the club's stance hasn't changed. Bale is not for sale

They'd be bonkers to turn down £85 million. Knowing Levy, he'll accept it an hour before the window closes, leaving them no chance to replace him

I've been saying this for over three years :p

I think we all have!

It has been quite comical.

Fans: "Fergie we need some midfielders"

Fergie: "Guess what I've got you lads"

Fans: "A midfielder?"

Fergie: "Even better, I've bought 3 defenders, another striker and an attacking mid. Oh and two goalies"

Fans: "Thanks Fergie, just what we needed."

Yes Wenger is finally listening to the fans and getting rid of the trash...but he must be deaf in one ear because he has forgot about the part we want new players to replace them :p

Sanchez from Barca is the latest rumour that we are after apparently. Dont know enough about him to get excited. Not going to look him up either to save my disappointment :p

Alexis Sanchez???...dear god please no. Everytime i have seen him play for Barca, i havent been that impressed with him and always wondered why Barca favoured him over Villa.

Lol I swear we must give some outstanding loan deals as rumours now say skrtel to Napoli but only on loan :/
FSG want the wages off the books. Without CL football we can't afford to keep them around and the longer we're out of Europe the worse it'll be and it's obvious Skrtel doesn't fit in with Rodgers plans.

Nah, we'll buy him back next year for £80 million. Then he'll have a couple of good seasons, and we'll sell him back to Real for £160 million

I don't think skrtel was given a fair go IMO, before last season he was our best player. I also get the wages thing but changing our defense too much in one go could just be as bad and push us further back till they get used to each other I mean why are we not giving Coates a go either? He has never had one chance for a decent run.
