Summer Transfer Window 25/26 *Sponsored by Bigpig*

Can we not do these banter/troll posts. It's bad enough that Liverpool are trying to sign Newcastle's best player and Newcastle's owners are funding it without rubbing salt into Newcastle fans wounds.
Tsk tsk. Ploy to unsettle the player as expected!
In all seriousness, whether the deal happens or not, do you honestly believe that Liverpool are making a move without already getting the go-ahead from Isak?

OK, I really don't understand this. Does Henderson seriously think he is in the running for the world cup next year and this is the move that will help?

Unfortunately I think yes to all of that.
Its clear to me that the reason he wanted to return to the Premier League was to try and put himself into the running for the world cup squad, I think that was his main motivation for the move. I wouldnt be surprised if he ends up in the squad either.

I’d would hazard a guess that Liverpool has already received or knows Newcastle answer on Isak and now trying to disrupt the Ekitike transfer. Hence Newcastle rush to try and get this done.
If Liverpool know that Newcastle will say no, wouldnt the obvious thing to do be to simply whack 80m on the table for Ekitike instead, if they knew that they cant get Isak and want to grab Ekitike instead of Newcastle? Liverpool can outbid Newcastle for Ekitike if they want to, so if they are 100% they cannot get Isak and want Ekitike , they could just do that. I suspect that someone, either Newcastle, or Isak's associates have suggested to Liverpool that there is a chance of pulling a deal off. I think one of two things will happen, either Liverpool will get Isak and Newcastle will get Ekitike, or Liverpool will get Ekitike, imo the least likely scenario is that Newcastle keep Isak and get Ekitike as well.

That doesn't make any sense
It makes perfect sense.

By all means Isak is your number one target so it’s worth a try to unsettle the player or test the club’s resolve.

There’s a difference on being up transfer than forcing a move. Bruno for example has stated many times he would only moved if it was it was in the best interest of the Club and it suited all parties. Mancity/Real Madrid interest etc.

Newcastle have tried to rush the Ekitike deal and by all means the move was close on the player side with payment structure not suiting Frankfurt.

Now you got two of the biggest and most respected transfer rumour merchants runing the story within minutes of each other.

Which probably puts the breaks on our deal for Ekitike for the 3rd time hah

There we go. £125m was the price we had on his head when we were facing point deduction when Chelsea enquired last year.

If you really want Isak stop ******* about and make it closer to a World Record transfer deal. Every player has their price after all.

We could probably get close to 100m in his last year on his deal never mind with 3 remaining.

Let's hope they are better than the last time sky were reporting on a big transfer involving Liverpool - i.e. wirtz not being interested in us

Another no9 to keep an eye on is Porto's Samu Aghehowa
