Well I very much doubt anything will top last season summer window. Had more drama than Hollyoaks!!

Lots of transfer speculation in other threads so time to get this one fired up!!

Only players I see as untouchable is Bruno and Hall.

Players I would be indifferent if sold would be Livermento, Sandro and Gordon. Time to cash in and refresh the squad. So I can see two leaving.

Goalkeeping department need a total overhaul haul. 1 and 2 unless Pope is happy to be number two. Ramsdale is not the answer.

Nothing really changed since the last two windows.

Goalkeeper, attacking midfielder, technical winger and a defensive midfielder required as well as a flexible fullback.

I think Pope, Tino, Tonali, Gordon and Wissa will all be sold.

I think Woltemade will have a mega World Cup and could be tempted to be sold but I hope he stays.

Obviously who we buy will very much be where we end up, any European competition will help. They have to be more smart this summer especially if we get a fair bit of money return with the likes to Tonali and Gordon being sold… that will be our big profit makers.

Liverpool should chuck the extra 10m in to make sure he doesn't head our way
I know you hate him and he's far from perfect but I genuinely believe he'd make us a lot better as a side. The loss of Diaz, Jota & Nunez has left us crying out for pace and energy in attack and he's got bucket loads of both. If we could get somebody with that but is also a better footballer then great but I really would take him in the summer if not.

3 forwards available with ekitike's rumoured achilles going into the start of the new season as it currently stands (well 2 for all the good gakpo brings), brilliant stuff..

Hope there's another 500odd mill down the back of the sofa

I suspect we were going to be in the market for 2 forwards this summer anyway but it's an absolute must now. The biggest possible change is whether we're now pushed into looking at somebody that can play centrally too (Gordon @Rotty?) rather than just wide players because you can't rely on just Isak for the first 4 months of the season.

I suspect there will be a few more clubs interested in Gordon. High energy left winger than can operate centrally which is why I suspect BM is after him.

Couldn't care a less who leaves Newcastle United in the summer. I think there will be a few. Some of them look like they've already packed their bags anyway. Hopkinson is widely saying that to take the next step then Newcastle has to become "a trading club". I'm ok with that as long as they make sharp deals and whoever is shipped out exits quickly so we can invest the money on some smartly scouted replacements in a timely fashion. If they need some guidance on how to do this then all they need to do is look at last summer and do the exact opposite of everything they did. Easy.

Just can't be done with the diving and whining

Same when we were linked with Xavi Simons

liverpool should go after bowen to replace salah
Do we want to replace Salah? I thought Isak was effectively meant to replace him.

Given last summer's signings, the intention was obviously to play 3 central attackers (Wirtz, Ekitike, Isak). That doesn't leave space for wingers. Replacing Salah like for like means another shift in system. We need to decide whether we're going to stick or twist.

That said, I'd take Bowen as he's capable centrally as well, so would give us cover and flexibility. Same goes for Gordon.
