Summer Transfer!

Ok, I have a couple of summer transfer rumours - from a very reliable source that told me Robbie Fowler would be joining Liverpool as early as last Wednesday.

Anton Ferdinand to Liverpool as Hyppia's long term replacement.

and

Chelsea to sign David Trezeguet.

Done deals apparantly.

ferdinand just did a new contract at west ham like 2 weeks ago or so, so i doubt that one is right.

New contracts mean nothing, other than the buy-out clause inserted within it.

It simply placates the player.

Is Anton any good, he's never stood out when I've seen West Ham play? APrt from that goal the other week but that hardly constitutes the mark of a defender

Think we'll see Baptista at Arsenal in the Summer, he's not done great at Real Madrid and I believe Wenger is still up for getting him. Wouldn't be surprised if some deal was done involving Ashley Cole going the other way. Be a shame to lose Ashley imo

Baptista seems to be on his way out of Real Madrid for sure, he hasn't adapted to them at all well.

Would be interesting to see if they could get Gravesen as part of the deal, he would make a difference to the Arsenal midfield.

I doubt it when weve just signed agger. he's very good and very young (21 I think) He is the hyypia replacement.

Lol, I'm not sure if we need Graversen. I think Diaby could be a good buy thought he looked ok against against Wigan and Bolton to be fair. At least he likes to mix it up a little unlike Gilberto who clearly already seems to be thinking about the World Cup - his tackles/challenges are that of a girl and you can see he's petrified of picking up an injury.

If i were a Hammers fan i'd be seriously doubtful of his long term career with the club. Bearing in mind his brother had a habit of chasing transfers every time a bigger club was involved, it wouldn't suprise me if he wasn't telling anton to leave the first bid he gets from a top 5 team.

Trezeguet is overrated anyway, chelsea will get milked of money if they go for him and i'll laugh and point at van persie (3.5mil).

I agree with the other gooners that we might see baptiste in the summer, although madrid are quite tough negotiators. I would preferably like to see Baptiste in and Gilberto shipped off elsewhere, i dont think he fits the new arsenal system at all. Baptiste on the other hand has been woefully deployed at madrid, often on the left wing. Let Arsene get hold of him and we'll see the real deal.

* in my opinion one of the worst transfer deals i've ever seen 35mil for baptiste and sergio ramos, one hardly plays while the other picked up something like 5 reds in one season.

We signed Agger to replace Sami, so i really doubt Anton will be in Liverpool come summer, unless he's passing through

It was an unlikely transfer, but it was a common knowlege rumor.
Anton is ok, but Liverpool dont need him until hyypia goes. when hyypia goes we will need a ned CB but we have 3 quality ones now, you dont need 4 first draw centre backs.

SWP to liverpool would make me a very happy man!
