Sun tunnels? Anyone had them installed?

We moved into our current 4 bed detached bungalow in 2022. We both love the place and it is very much our 'forever house' :)

The only thing that slightly bugs me about it is the main sitting area, because of the design of the house it doesn't I feel, get enough light. Just off the main sitting area is a 'sun room' which I tend to use to relax in more than the main sitting/living room.

I recently came across these 'sun tunnels' which can be fitted to afford more light into areas of your home. I am curious to see if anyone has had these installed and what folks opinions of them are? They look like an ideal solution to letting more light into the room concerned.

Cheers :)

I've got one in our windowless bathroom, the amount of light they gather is really impressive, definitely recommend. On a bright day you don't need to put lights on.

I don't have them but I once viewed a house with them installed in the hall corridor. Usually corridors in bungalows are in total darkness when all the doors are shut but this house was different, it was so bright with natural light, really nice. These must have been professionally installed because I saw no evidence of them when I checked out the loft.

I'm not sure if you can block them if you ever needed to, like drawing the curtains if you know what I mean.

Thanks all, these sound like a 'no brainier' to me, will get in touch with some installers for more information.
