So, it's Sunday, the culinary high point of the week for many of us.
The Sunday Roast is a British institution and long may she reign etc etc etc.

So, OcUK what is your meat of choice on a Sunday? If a kind overlord could facilitate a poll that would be lovely :)

Beef
Chicken
Pork
Lamb
Pheasant
Guinea Fowl
Turkey
Nut Roast
Venison
Fish of some description
Rabbit
Duck (knew there was at least one missing)
Goose
I do not eat on Sunday
I am not British so don't have your over-cooked meat

Any other obvious meat choices that I have missed please add.

Also in an OcUK first, can there be a double poll to see what the favourite veg choice is? If not post your chosen veg.

I shall start:

Pork
Parsnip

Pork
Beef/Lamb (tied)
Chicken

I'd like the other ones (particularly the game) but don't have them often enough to justify inclusion.

Not a huge roast turkey fan though.

oh and i don't care which meet it is Mint sauce always gets included and usually a little mustard as well. Oh and yorkshire pudding with everything.

So hard

But you can't beat some tasty lamb or some extremely slow coked belly pork.. Closley followed by goose then duck.

And should come with
roast potato
Roast parsnips
Roast Butternut sqaush
Yorkshires
3 x veg of choice
Proper gravy
Mint sauce (doesn't matter which meat. On the veg and on the roast potato)
And if you can be bothered cauliflower cheese

If you like lamb you should try this rub:
equal quantities of
Brown sugar
Minced garlic
English mustard (preff powder form, but wet will do)
It's the most amazing thing ever.

Why so many chicken, chicken is muhh. Unless you buy proper farm stuff. Then that's very tasty. But most chickens are wet and have no tasty. Other cheap meats are acceptable. But cheap chicken is muhhh.
