Sundays.

We've started recently, I made my first proper full roast yesterday and it was spot on apart from a slight faux pas with the gravy.
I was very proud and stuffed by the time I'd finished it :D

Always have Sunday lunch at my folks or inlaws and 3 out of 4 times I'd say a roast.

Fish pie yesterday which was nice. Inlaws much better cooks so look forward to those more. My mum can't cook roast potatoes to save her life - always underdone.

We generally have leftovers given so that's two meals a week we don't have to think about.

Interesting comment above about meat - we've found we are doing without as much meat in the last few months. Doing some chicken/veg puff pies we just pack them out with more veg/potato and a bit of chicken for protein. We never eat beef and rarely lamb, with pork probably our second choice due to co-op doing good deals on boneless shoulder joints.

I usually work sat night, so it's usually takeaway by the time I get out of bed, trying to stop the takeaways this year though. Have to make sure the fridge is stocked on sat, with something fast and easy.

Often have a roast on a Saturday ensuring there's enought leftovers for somehting super quick and easy for Sunday night and soup for Monday too! Three meals in one go.

Yup, 3 out of 4 Sundays for us too. It's weird though, if a roast is made during the week, I won't eat it as I class is at Sunday food lol... and I ain't even joking :D

Yes.

Tend to alternate between lamb, beef and chicken. I'd like to add pork, but yet to come up with a recipe that's quite a tasty.

I'll have it every so often but I don't like eating chicken unless its in a sauce, dry chicken in one of my fears!!

You're doing it wrong if the chicken is dry :p

We would have had a roast today, but somebody (me) forgot to get the chicken out of the freezer in time, so its fish fingers and oven chips because we haven't got anything else in, and of course, it is a Sunday so its too late to go and get something else!

In light of the above, I am pleased to say that we had our roast tonight and it was a storming success! :D

I work away from home - 4 weeks on, 4 weeks off. When I'm home I have some sort of roast most Sundays, even though I live alone. Usually have leftovers for a couple of days afterwards. When I'm on the rig, we have roast beef most Sundays as well, so I pretty much have roast every week.

Nah, perhaps if I wasn't living by myself. I tend to have a roast whenever I feel like it.

But you do feel kind of bad eating a whole joint to yourself.

never been a fan of traditions, so i cant say i've had a roast dinner on a sunday. ince every 2 - 3 months maybe.
