Sunken Floor

Over the years 20+ we have had the odd water leak and hose leak in our Utility room.
The floor at the washing machine end has sunk by at least 1".
New floor is needed now,my question is can i put a claim in on the buildings insurance ?
Think i have only ever claimed on insurance once in the past 30 odd year for a roof tile.

Would have thought so. We had a leek in our cloakroom and it blew the laminate. Turned out it was an incorrectly tightened inline softener. Despite it being the fault of the original plumber the insurance still paid up for new tiles, vanity unit and decorations.
