I used HDR and I think it worked well. The same results could probably have been achieved without resorting to HDR but my photoshop skills are weak.

I found it easier to get the cloud exposure right (in the final image) by bracketing etc, avoiding the usual "halo around the sun" that seems to happen to me when trying to balance the final image.

As ever, comments / constructive criticism welcome :)

It's good, but I cant help feeling the whole picture slumps to the right (looking at it) plus bottom left id clone out the little.. plant thingy :) Were was it shot? Did you get any other sky gradients?

Try adjusting the straightness, it just doesnt seem to work any other way - the water is level and the trees / clouds arent. I suppose unless you are really picky it doesnt spoil the shot, I dunno. Shame I couldnt reach up to the sky and adjust the clouds :( I didnt notice that plant - I shall remove it when I can raise the effort required :)

It was shot at a nature reserve on the outskirts of Warrington. I dont know the name of it though.

I took a couple of other sky shots but none hold a torch to this one IMO.

As for the rest of the shots taken today, well, the less said about those the better :( My nature photography needs serious work and MUCH better glass.
