Getting really annoying now as it seems like I crnt play for more than 30mins without it freezing and then crashing the PC

RAM is running stock, CPU is OC'd but running stable according to Prime95 and Orthos!
SupCom is fully up to date, graphics card is up to date... crnt think what else would be causing this problem

Spec:

Intel Core 2 DUO E6600 @ 3.2ghz (50oC load)
EVGA nForce 680i (with latest bios)
BFG GeForce 8800 GTX OC (latest drivers)
G.Skill 2GB DDR2 HZ PC2-6400 (stock)
OCZ GameXStream 850W
Windows XP SP2

Help plz :(

Yep its started doing that with me in xp too. No idea what it is, and I've been playing it in Vista instead of trying to fix xp.
I'd not played it in a few weeks and it updated before I played it, is that patch new? maybe something up with that?

I had the same problem... put gfx back at stock, cpu back at stock, ram speed at stock, re-installed the game, and was considering doing a format and windows re-install... none of this helped

Went into bios and realised my ram voltage was at 2.2v... clocked that down, and haven't had any issues since... odd, especially as it had been primed and memtested to be 100% ok..

I have also since changed the ram, and it's back at 2.2v, and is fine again... very odd one :/

Do the above and use nvidia monitor make sure all your voltages are correct, some of mine were red, Also the RAM always stays yellow, this is ok

then do this

This helped me out a lot and last night i left a game running and came to find it had hit the 10 hour mark :p

Also forget about Vista, Nvidia have admitted to a driver bug that causes the crash and are currently investigating it.

Latest patch is 3223

In vista is does, people have said u dont see the difference but with 2gig vs 4gig but with 1000s of units and 2-3 players it will get sluggish with 2gig, but with 4gig no such issues just smoothness.

Guess 4gig/quadcore also helps, SC is one of those games where u cant see the difference in benchmarks but only during the battle moments ie all cores get used up/and ram too but it does make the difference :)

Ok well its defo not any of my overclocks or settings rest it all to stock and it still did the same thing... froze and crashed

And now Ive just had this message pop up...

Trying to destroy the sim's command database, but it isn't empty.
