SupCom graphics corruption

Hi:

Not sure if this should be in graphics card or pc games section?

Basically this is what I am getting after I installed the latest Catalyst 7.2 + ATi Tray Tool 1.2.6.964.

So I thought no probs I'll just reinstall the 6.12 driver but that only made matters worse, it would freeze and I had to reset the machine. I have downloaded the latest DX9 updates (Feb 2007 release) but that didn't solve the problem either.

The card was running at stock and I tried all different quality settings. The card plays my other games perfectly so it must be the game? I have installed the latest patch for supcom.

Any idea? :(

have you tried reverting back to a driver version previous to the latest one?

if you have you may find more responses in the graphics card section for this...

good luck

Yes I have revert back to Catalyst 6.12 and it didn't work, the only difference is that now I am running Ati Tray tool instead of Catalyst control centre, could that possibly the the problem?

OK thanks will try graphics section.

With a problem like that it looks like your running out of mass. Quick, build loads more mass fabs, adjoined to some tech 3 power plants :p

Honestly don't know, was it working perfectly before the install of the cat 6.12's ?

I have the exact same problem with my 6800 GT.

I suspect it's running out of graphics memory as when I lower the res down it becomes ok. I also get this on the demo for C&C 3.

LOL!

Haven't played it for a week or so so honestly not sure what might have trigered the problem, it was running 6.12 + CCC + Ati Tool 0.26 since the beggining and supcom was happy with that, changed it to 7.2 + Ati tray tool recently and it won't work, now I'm back to 6.12 and it still don't work!

Will try and remove ATT and reinstall CCC but doubt that will be any good. Will try 6.11 as well I think.

Well if all else fail i'd just have to reinstall windows on another drive with fresh drivers and nothing but supcom installed.

Hi:

I will try lowering the resolution but I have tried lowering all details to minimum and all it did was making faster but the graphics is still corrupted.

I have C&C3 demo too and it's running perfectly fine with everything maxed out at 1280*1024 4xAA and seems like the FPS is capped at 30.

Hi,

Have you tried using the omega drivers mate?

Have you tried unistalling supcom completley and reinstalling?

Also when your trying to clear out drivers get a program called Driver Cleaner 3.3 (think thats the latest version) then try installing either the omega or ati drivers.

Hi:

Thanks yeah forgot to mention I tried re-intalling the game as well and it didn't work.

I have not tried omega drivers for a while but will give it a go.

I did use driver cleaner in safe mode before installing the new driver but I am not sure if I have the latest one, will look into that tonight.

OK just a quick update it turns out to be ATT messing up all the graphics settings - removed everything and ran driver cleaner 3 then reinstalled catalyst 7.2 and everything was fine, but as soon as I installed ATT graphics will corrupt in SupCom.

Now it's running 7.2 with Ati Tool 0.26, but then all settings in catalyst control centre have disappeared!
