Any random small file read / write specs available? I'm guessing they haven't released these benchmarks because PCIE-4 offers no real improvement to random iops. Those are the ones I'm interested in now, as sustained read and write on any NVME is already ridiculous and no ordinary computing ever reaches those speeds.

Do i need a M.2 slot? What about my older board it has NVMe support now but only regular pcie x4 GEN3. So i would need it to work like that. 1tb is what i need as i had a bios for my Z87 giving me NVMe options.

wow. I don't notice much difference in real world usage between a sata ssd and a nvme PCI 3. Therefore at the moment I may get a zen 2 and a X570 shortly but cannot justify these or a navi. Still it is good to know that they exist now.
