I dont think I have the latest BIOS drivers, will that mabye be a cause of some of the problems im having with the frequency readings etc?

Frequency reading I guess you mean for your CPU.

It is perfectly normal for your CPU to throttle down to 16 multi when it is not being used. Speedstep does that automatically. If that is not what you mean then post a bit more detail mate.
 
Yeah, thats not what I had meant, will post some more details..

On Core Temp the frequency reads 332.99MHz (0.01 x 64036.0)...

Don't worry what coretemp reads. You have the latest version of CPU-z that is what you use to read your correct frequency.

Super Pi time is about right.
