I have just got my first ever wifi device and it's crazy slow, tell me something is wrong and this is not normal. It's managed to load one web page in about 20 mins of trying, the other attempts just timed out.

The WIFI section says it's connected and gives me these readings.

status:strong

signal strength:strong

link speed:65Mbps

security:WPA/WPA2 PSK

My router also recognizes the connection.

Galaxy Tab 2 P3110.

p.s. If it helps, my Galaxy Ace phone is having the same problem.

WPA2 PSK/AES is fine, I'd change the channel number .. you *might* be having an electronic battle with your neighbour.

Either way, you shouldn't notice a difference between wired and WIFI.

It was set to auto, I tried using a specific channel but it made no difference, it keeps timing out.

I'm gunna say it's your new tablet, possibly your internet connection? In 15 years of fixing WIFI connections for my neighbours, its never been the router. Although I would try unplugging it for a bit.

The fact that my new tablet AND my phone have very bad connection surely mean it's the signal, or I'm the unluckiest person in the world to have bought two devices with the same problem.

Problem solved, I was using a cable from the hub to my pc, so I unplugged that and restarted the modem, now my tab and phone are super fast, even after I replugged my cable back in the pc, thanks to those that tried to help.
