Super Smash Bros, for Wii U and 3DS

May be a few other games, but between my PC+PS4 I don't think I would get a huge amount of time for much else, maybe the new Zelda game. It is my bday soon and I've hinted at the misses that melee was my all time fav game ;).

Also OMG, I was so bad at this game, I forgot how complex the meta game gets, also had a quick look at Apex 2015, is it really a diddy orgy all the time only?

My old mains where Kirby/Marth depending on how serious I had to be.

Debating whether or not to get this on my 3DS as well, enjoyed the demo and it would be nice to have an on the go version, plus get the DLC character plus soundtracks :)

This game isn't quite as complex as Melee was concerning things like tech skill.

Diddy is one of the top tier characters so a lot of pro players play him, I've hardly ever seen him online though. Tier lists aren't that important at the level most people play at.

I main Lucina and shes not supposed to be very good but I have something like a 70% winrate online.

I think there were just 2 (?) Diddys in Top 8 at Apex, and one of them got taken out by Olimar. Although he is generally seen as the strongest character right now, it's only something that's really significant if playing at a very high skill level (pro/tournament level). I don't encounter many Diddy players online at all really. (EDIT: Murray beat me to it lol)

Smash U & 3DS are 2 different versions of the same game, but the Wii U version benefits from better visuals/much higher resolution, smoother online(less lag), and more comfortable control options.

And yep I use GC controller, perfect for smash!

Also do you guys use the gamecube adapters, I still have 2 pretty mint controllers so I have those covered.

I use a pro controller, I never played Smash before so the gc controller is completely alien to me. Tonight I played off the gamepad though - its not THAT bad believe it or not!

Been trying the 3DS demo out with the new 3DS XL and I must say having the C-Stick works well with this, demo runs like a dream and coming from the original 3DS the extra screen helps a lot with this game.

Mrs just ordered it for me for my 30th, £26 with my gold discount on Shopto :D

Yeah, no more wavedashing. Another question I did have was how the online experience was, I tried the Wii online and it was a pain, I've read the Wii U is much better, and how is the generally people online. Since I've not played in forever I suck majorly but I more or less remember most of the commands.

The online is way better than it was on Wii, sometimes you get laggy players but that happens in every game.

If you are playing against someone with a good connection there isn't that much of a difference from SP.

In For Glory(1v1, no items, FD only) the general level of players are pretty decent at the game.

I've reserved my Wii U with a copy of Smash Bros for pick up tomorrow so I may see some of you online, once I can get used to the buttons that is!
