Super Smash Bros, for Wii U and 3DS

My copy has been posted from Amazon so it should be here tomorrow. It's a birthday present for my daughter on the 12th so will have to wait until then to play. :(

What do you mean?

Just that I agree, these games deserve the critical acclaim they get.

A game like Smash always runs the risk of just being more of the same, but it seems they've done enough to keep the experience fresh.

If someone had said a year ago that Smash U would feature up to 8-Player local, be 1080p/60fps, have mostly good online net-code(online fighting games are difficult to make work well) and release alongside a GameCube controller adapter for the console, who would have believed them?.

Gah, mines not turned up! I'll add the above peeps though, be cool to get schooled at this. Smash is kinda new to me, only ever had it briefly on the cube.

Paceee: is my nick.

ShopTo copy is here. Never played smash before so wish me luck! :p

Same boat here. Got just a few hours play time on the 3DS demo - I'm coming in pretty much stone cold and clueless. I got comfy with Bayo2 pretty quickly (never played the original) which is by no means easy and I'm now getting the odd Platinum medal here and there, so there's hope for me yet.

Please god don't make me completely suck at this game! :D

I've been critical of Nintendo and accused them of milking old franchises which feel to childish as a grown man.

I had a Wii U on release but sold it. Yesterday I bought another to see what's what. I must say I have to apologise as I was wrong. This is a whole lot of fun although I find it difficult on the game pad.

Never played Smash Bros before and it's great fun. Manic but great fun. Also go Mario Kart which is a laugh too.

It's tempting me to buy a couple of Amiibos and pro controller is due tomorrow.

Be great if we got a few games together on here.

I could imagine it being a pain on the main tablet controller. Luckily i've got pro pad and a Wii fightstick to try, shame my Killer instinct TE2 won't be of use. The pro pads excellent though for everything highly recommend it.

You absolutely don't want an arcade stick for smash. By far the best control method is a Gamecube pad.
