Can someone recommend a super adhesive for plastics please.

thank you

2 types I have found, either a solvent weld based on DiMethylAcrylate (depending on the plastic) or superglue with an activator. You can get Mitre Adhesive from Screwfix which does the job.

However, what is it for, what material, and how good does it need to be?

Cyanoacrylate superglues are not very good on plastics unless you use an activator.

then what i recommended would be perfect, quick to set as well

so you know where you screw the screw into the plastic. the long shaft has snapped off and i need to glue it back on in order to screw the remote together.

isnt there something i can get from homebase. dont really want to wait about

Cyanoacrylate is not suitable for some plastics, i get the impression a remote holder would use such a plastic.

All that would happen is the glossy finish would be melted away.

Alradite have a superglue variant, that should do the job just fine.
