SUPERBOWL TIME - what will you be cooking?

I always go American this weekend of every year but can not decide from pulled pork or chili dogs, has anyone else got anything to add to the mix?

We're doing these this year, but last year we did home made beef burgers and hot wings (which were absolutely lush) and the year before we did the same. I am doing pulled pork in the slow cooker, my friend has already cooked a "pulled beef" chilli and we'll be having that with chilli dogs. I'll be making a home made BBQ chilli sauce to go along with them both! I can't wait!

I've never tried pulled pork.

I've just bought a slow cooker, so it might be something I'll try. I just need to find a good sauce to mix in, as I find pork a bit bland on its own.

You could always try my favourite South African sauce, monkey gland sauce :) I know it isn't American, but it is very close to a BBQ sauce and we Saffa's love it! That's the BBQ sauce I'm making to go with the pulled pork and chilli dogs. It is a very similar recipe to the one GIBURROWS just posted. "Ketchup, Brown sugar, Chipotle peppers, Vinegar, Worcester sauce and salt keep adding and mixing till you love it". Except you add an extra ingredient, Mrs Balls Chutney, a South African fruit chutney that you can buy in the supermarket here. Give it a go!
