Guys

I have'nt been on here for years and was looking but could not find a Supercar thread. My first love is Ferrari and could happily spend all day and night talking about them. I do however have a soft spot for Lotus Exige S....what a track car! Anyway a couple of pics and video of my car to whet the appetite and shamelessly boost my ego:p

The video is from a Supercar meet for all your exotica lovers. We had Alfa Romeo 8C Spider, Dodge Viper GTS, Lambo Gallardo etc. On the video check out the blue flames from my exhaust in the airport tunnels :D

This one is from when we met up at GP in Nottingham. Turn up your speakers and listen to the exhaust notes from some of the world's greatest supercars!

I would love to hear if anyone here has been out with the Supercardrivers club or if they owned an exotica in the past/present....or just got a love for em!

Lets see your pics!

Call me odd, but I'm actually ignoring the supercars and squinting at what could be a yellow 850r (or T-5r) in the background!

Luke, great spot mate!

That was one of the other drivers dad's car. He was an awesome driver and that thing could move. Round the twisties it didnt half roll around:p

The thing about supercars is for me they are utterly unattainable and therefore I can't get excited about them - as amazing as they are!
I've owned an 850r though, so that stands out to me!

Lovely cars in those pics though.

Been to a few super car meets, was lucky enough to get a passenger lift down to two Vmax events as well.

Certainly interesting experiences and over time has completely eroded the super car mythos.

There are two m3's in those photos, never ever a supercar(s), if I was a pompus so and so I'd tell them to park out of view of the camera :o

and is that a purple 350/370z, stroll on too please :p

I'll give the exige a pass because they are simply sexual, but not really a supercar

Unfortunately I chose children early in life so a supercar has always been a pipe dream of mine. I will own a 911 one day though :D

I fell in love with them in the late 70s when I first saw a 911 turbo in a pack of top trumps.

It was so muscular looking with those wide rear arches and the large rear spoiler. My best friend at the time loved the ferarri berlinetta boxer.

I could see the attraction but it was a bit contrived to me, being all 'wedgy' like the other supercars. I liked it, just not as much as the 911.

We asked the most popular kid in our school which of the cars he liked best. He'd obviously pick the most awesome seeing as he was the best rounders player and had had a proper girlfriend! He picked the Trans-Am Pontiac Firebird :rolleyes:

He went down heavily in our estimations after and we never sought his opinion on late 70s/early 80s supercars again.

Other than my love of the 911 turbo which hasn't faded to this day the only other supercar I nurse a semi over is the venerable McLaren F1.

Built utterly without compromise I believe this car would still give everything today a run for it's money around a track. What a machine! Veyron-Schmeyron. And on the subject of the Veyron I cannot stand it, not too sure why. I didn't like the EB110 when it was released either, they just don't do it for me.

Now, to pick the wife up in my battered mondeo :(

Great choice of cars mate:cool:

I agree about the Veyron but you cant deny the engineering. On one of the supercar meets a guy turned up with his Veyron SuperSport:eek: Only 4 in the whole world i believe....

I am stuck between these two for my next car:

Ferrari 360CS - Dont really need to say much:D

Ferrari 599GTB - Enzo Engine for a 1/10th of the price:p

All i see in that vid is a couple of plonkers driving far too fast considering there are people sitting 3 feet from the kerb.

Overclockers doesnt change, no? :D

I cant believe it got to this many posts before someone posted derogatory comments and slagged off the cars/speed/noise (delete as appropriate)

Enjoy :p

it's not the speed, cars or noise it's the drivers who have a total disregard to the safety of the pedestrians literally feet away sitting on the benches.. I've seen the aftermath a few years back when i seen a ferrari driver hit a pedestrian in nottingham.

That sounds like it would make the news, got a link?

Is it "Ferrari drivers" you have an issue with?

The pedestrians were the other drivers of Supercars on the day out and were well aware. We also had people on the adjoining road keeping an "eye out". In all honesty mate, that was actually not "that fast"....not compared to the blast down to Wales and around the EVO triangle:eek:

We at Supercardriver, in all seriousness, have taken actions to suspend past drivers who were very reckless in their driving actions etc.

Cheers :)
