What superglue do people use with their 3D printed models? I have been using some Soudal high viscosity but it’s been incredibly tough to keep it from clogging. Is it easier to use a thinner viscosity in the larger bottles or buy a load of small tubes. Is there a specific methodology that people use to stop it clogging with the lid on?

I do have to say though that activator works really well.

I use these two depending on what I need it for

I'm using a medium viscosity just like the one in the post above, just clean the nozzle when you put it away and store the bottle upright is about all I do, if it clogs I just use a 1mm drill to clear it out.

Some workmates are not so helpful, they leave it on it's side and you cant even remove the lid, I have to get the pipe grips out for that.

Kraftprotz 3D printing super glue, don't think I'll go back to trying others now unless it changes, even though I was hesitant with that "for 3d printing" specific tag.

I've struggled with a lot of others, either needlessly messy, too grabby, generally not grabby enough. Seems to be the one I've settled on anyway, I'd argue it ends up being quite a personal thing, something that does the job, but fits in with how messy/tidy you are etc.

The whitening from superglue on PLA and PETG usually just comes from the fumes while curing. A little fan blowing over the part when gluing can help.

The main thing with superglue for me is just to make sure it's not too runny, standard superglue decided to run away down all the layer lines :D I've been getting super glue Gel in bulk from amazon and it works great

What are you guys printing that needs superglue?

(Genuine question as everything we've designed, we've made push fit e.g. using dowels, or with sections that slide together)

Most of my stuff has been multi material (or repairs after an oops), so gluing tpu to pla/petg, or magnets to petg/pla etc.

Even for stuff that pushes together I often put a dab of glue on to make sure. Also made some bigger projects recently that are glued together. I made this for my nephews birthday for his car collection
