Supermarket and reverse park

I've always found reverse parking easier since I moved away from small hatchbacks in the early 2000's

But my 5 series has a rear parking camera with guidelines so it's definitely easier.

I had a Fiat 500 rental on holiday and used to front park that everywhere though as it's so diddy and the bonnet is tiny.

You guys should come see our local morrisons.

Infact ill do you one better and illustrate it.

This is brilliant.

If you dont understand why people reverse park into spaces then you should consider retaking your driving test again.

It’s nothing to do with my inability to park, I’m more than capable of forward parking, reverse parking etc. it’s to do with the situation, the keywords being shopping, supermarket, trolley

Every weekend I see confused shoppers, who incidentally I’ve heard blame the car next to them for parking too close as to the reason why they can’t get their trolley to the back of the car.

It’s the same at our local tip, but with people parking nose in, then dragging their bags of garden waste between them and the adjacent car to get to the skips.

Morons.

It's something I've always wondered too, just seems incredibly short sighted

The manoeuvre in or out of the bay is small beans. If you run someone over or ding something it's because you're bad.

A big shop and making the area of the car where you intend to put it all, poorly accessible, is not good logic.

I’ve noticed this aswell. Everyone seems to have an obsession with reversing into a space because there scared or don’t trust there driving skills backing out of a space.

No, it's because too many people treat car parks as drag strips and it's more difficult to see them if you're trying to reverse out. My shopping goes in the rear footwell anyway.

Same with our local supermarkets. Park in the furthest away spots and you usually get a space either side of you and mainly nice cars. Go near the entrances and you get the sheds driven by massive people who can barely squeeze down the gaps between cars.

But surely all that purple can't really be disabled lol. It's almost half the entire car park. If it is there's no way they are all really blue badge holders.

I just park in them anyway if I feel like it... No kids...

*flamesuit on*

TBH, I think we should start being rewarded for NOT having kids. Too many already :D
