SuperZoom Bridge Camera...which one?

Give me a chance..got to get used to it first, its my first semi proper camera for years, all i can say is that it is a lovely thing to use!...and i cant fault the place i bought it from..superb service.

Wow, glad to see people are receiving their FZ38 already....

I just pre-ordered mine, £270 for the camera and a 10er for a 8Gb SD.

Says on the website they still wont receive stock until the 5th of september, doesn't really bother me tho, its a great price and a dont need the camera until October.

Plenty of Time

Thanx everyone :)

Ok, still getting used to my FZ38 and confusing myself with all the settings! Coming from my SE C905 phone its a bit of an eye opener to be using a decent camera...yes i know its not a snob value top of the range DSLR but i am very pleased with it.

I am in no way a competent photographer but i do like to take lots of photos and print them out myself and this camera is ideal for that. At first I expected to much from the x18 zoom but now I have a tripod so all is well!

Its a well built little camera with easy to use buttons and a simple navigation system and battery life seems good.

At the moment i am using jpeg but there are RAW/jpeg and RAW options...is there any advantage in either..I am a noob at this.

The bonus for me is the video quality on this thing and the ability to use up to the full x18 zoom in video mode...all in all i can highly recommend the FZ38...but what do I know!:D

Ordered up a FZ38 last night so glad your liking it mate. Found some vouchers I had for a high street store from my birthday back in May so got them all used up in the deal! Shame it's "usually delivered within 28 days" as I go on honeymoon in about 32 days - fingers crossed that it turns up in time!! :)

Fact is Busa a DSLR doesn't suit everyone, decided I'd spend too much on lenses should I get one, that I didn't want too much gear to carry about and if I do want to move on from a bridge camera I can after a year or so with the FZ38 to get me in some way use to using a decent camera.
