Hi, just wondering if anyone knows how to make a script or bat file where once installed on their pc, when they click on a desktop icon it sends a request to another pc ( at a different location ) for support. Now I have looked on google, but I don't really know what I should be looking for? I probably haven't explained what I mean very well :(

User PC

Click Desktop Icon

Other user gets remote desktop either by VNC or RDC

I don't have a clue how I can script this so its a one click install for the User needing support?

Any ideas please?

Cheers,
Mark

1) Remove VNC
2) Install NetSupport Client on the PC you want to send requests from (http://www.netsupport-inc.com)
3) Download the Netsupport Manager (i recommend the school edition - has more features)
4) Viola

:D

EDIT:
(what it does is adds a icon to the sys tray - you open up the program and the user can send support requests etc. the server can control the PC, control open applications and even stream video to the client - and it hardly takes up any system resources!)

ok hmm, what I want to do is have a remote pc with its normal spyware and anti virus, and each week/month have an update that I can run across their system that will update their definitions and run windows update? Now I was thinking of using VNC/RDC but could I make a program or script/bat file, that would do this for me?

Cheers,
Mark
