Supreme commander dual core?

On my X2 4200, 2gb ram and 8800GTS the game slows to a crawl on a 2v2 map if I spam out a load of tech 1 units at the start and do a rush with about 200 of them. Slows to a crawl on the 2v2 map and music starts to stutter.

All in all great programming I'd say  Havent played it for ages now and just waiting for an optimization patch.

Did me+2ai vs 3ai (supreme) with max unit cap and 6 all together on my quad core.
Noticed a little slow down after about an hour and a half...

Just wanted to try a large scale game :p
Long range arty is a pain! o-o

That walking Aeon Unit is soooo overpowered compared to the rest, takes lot's to take one down :o

Yeah how can I get it to utilise my the most out of my quadcores. I'm only getting 30% usage. Running taskmanager on my other monitor.

I think this is a known issue. I can't remember what the cause was tho'. Have you checked the official forums?

Phew! I just checked the GPG forums and it is indeed a known and widespread issue. I'm just hoping it gets fixed since it really spoils the game, especially in large epic battles which is what SupCom is all about really.

For example, I was playing against two AIs yesterday and when I tried attacking with 170 odd tech 3 aeon assault bots, they just about scratched the enemy base before they got completely owned. The damn things refused to cooperate and would just stand idle making them as deadly as duck in a pond.

Im gonna go on a limb and say 2gig? a few SC players have noted 4gig seems to do the ticket and is quite smooth especially after playing for 2-3 hrs + that extra bit of ram seems to help smooth it out....

Considering u have perhaps the best pc rigg about on these forums im actually still not surprised still that SC may run a tad sluggish.... they do say this games really designed for next gen.... as in 8 Core, X3800XT 2048meg card ;)

The main problem I'm having with SupCom isn't actually low fps, but order/command delay. I find that on skirmish maps with total units exceeding 1500, there is like a 5 to 20 second delay between giving an order and the unit actually acting on that order.

Since i patched poor fps and jumpy music disappeared, but that problem appeared, takes ages for constructors to respond, it annoyed me in my last skirmish games, so far i can take 2 medium AI's, gona try 1 hard ai next time(ps. still haven't tried the campaign mode).
