I feel this is deserving of its own thread as I know a lot of people (including me for a couple of hours) on the interweb have been scratching their heads over why their CD Key appears as invalid... no matter how many times they enter it. And they happen to have good old NOD32.

Please do the following:

Rather than uninstall NOD32 it is possible to exclude GPG.NET from being scanned by the IMON. To do this:

1. Open the NOD32 Control Centre
2. Open Threat Protection Modules -> IMON
3. Click Setup and open the Miscellaneous tab
4. Press the Edit button in the Exclusions setup
5. Add the "GPG.Multiplayer.Client.exe" file as an exclusion.

Enjoy multiplayer. :)

Rich.

omg nod32 misbehaving ;) Im surprised it wasnt mentioned before...

thx for the tip regardless saved a lot of hassle for SC players or people that still gotta get the game ;)

That was good timing, my license expired a week ago and I'd swapped to Kaspersky. Most unlike NOD though.

nps

For me its looking like a clash with either the Nvidia Firewall or i just need to forward the ports mentioned in that thread to get it to work.....hopefully!!
