Supreme commander open Beta

Getting this off fileplanet at the giddy speed of around 25kB/s! Should be able to play sometime next year :D

Hope it runs ok on my Barton :o

Guys I need some help, my install keeps screwing up. I left it to update overnight, did so and turned the pc off.

Came to find it wants to download the same update again, it keeps looping the update process :confused:

Would I have to download the install file again or something? I've re-installed it twice btw.
 
Mine kept saying it needed updates to the point where i thought it was getting the same one each time.. but it wasnt.. there were just millions of them..
 
Dear Lord this game SLAUGHTERES my machine! A-64 3700+, 2GB RAM and a X800 Pro (16 pipelines) and it doesn't stand a chance! I'll upgrade one day, honest...

Well looks like I can't play the damn game :(

My game basically freezes when i use my Keyboard (Logitech Dinovo Keyboard)

Also how do i know the verions of Supreme Commander I have?

Lol can't say that about a Logitech the keyboard is very nice, just dont work in this game hope they do a patch soon and all these problems are sorted.

Had the black screen issue but solved that, may just get a cheap old keyboard to play with lol.

Im on a similar rig and its quite jerky on mine too.. ive only got 1gig RAM though.. i do believe we have played before.. the old days.. Dawn of War ran smooth as..

I think its my graphics more than anything..

I believe there's another chap on the forums called Raz0r who you're confusing me. However, I am the Krogother who kept Pistol Whipping you in GoW ;)

I'm also of the opinion it's a graphics card thing - everything else in my PC is fast enough! Although I was playing a skirmish game to make it quite jerky...

Exactly why I think the poor performance has to be contributed to my aging graphics card. I could also get one of the new X1900 Pro's on AGP - reckon that's a worthy upgrade from a X800 Pro?

Yeah that would be a nice upgrade, but personally I would wait and see what the actual game is like as I would think there is a lot of tweeking to still be done. But hey its your money lol :D
