Yeah went for this. ThanksCurrent prime deal for a surface pro i5, 8gb ram and 128gb storage. With type cover for £749.
Too late Saying that, I only intent to use it for moderate photoshop, Corel Painter and wordprocessing. Storing will be on an external drive so I hope it will suffice?I also wouldn't recommend 128gb storage version, the space disappears fast with Windows!
You can get varying different high speed versions. I don't know at what speed the interface operates at though? Presumably less than USB 3. To complicate matters you can get a combined USB 3 reader/writer that contains two to three USB 3 slots with two sdxc/sd slots. It's USB 3.0 and I asked the question about using an external drive for apps and games and generally it seems that it should run no problem, so maybe that's an option. As for SD Card, I've never thought about using the slow for extra storage, not sure how running apps from an SD card would be?
I have a Surface Pro 4, and I feel if I tried to get into it, the thing would be smashed to bits.Might be worth picking up an older Surface Pro 4 as you can upgrade the SSD on those.
nah you'd be fine, you just need a heat gun and a suction cup really -letting the suction cup do the work rather than a levering tool.I have a Surface Pro 4, and I feel if I tried to get into it, the thing would be smashed to bits.
For me it's easier to hook a 250 GB SSD to it via USB which I have spare.Might be worth picking up an older Surface Pro 4 as you can upgrade the SSD on those.
