Surround Sound??

Iv got an old Sony "Home Theatre System" ( STR-KS600PM) that i have had laying around for ages. I want to link this into my PC.

I have plugged the 4 speakers, SubW and 1 central speaker into the sony unit and tried an audio jack from PC to twin phono on the sony unit and can only get sound from a single speaker. Have tried the different connections on the sony unit ( Video 1, Video 2 etc )

Sound card is a SoundBlaster X-FI.

Any ideas?

Unless it has optical input, you won't be getting surround sound from the PC. You should however, be getting sound from the left and right speakers.
