Greetings

Am taking a lovely lady out on Valentines for dinner! We both love Sushi so I'd like recommendations for somewhere decent we can go. I'm thinking somewhere we can get a nice table, and take our time, enjoying a few drinks & the chat etc. I don't mind if it's a bit pricey, but just want somewhere that's top notch with good relaxed atmosphere.

I'm in Uxbridge, Middlesex, and it appears that there aren't really any Sushi restaurants unless we head into Central London? Nowhere more local? All the searches I do come up with Central London.......

Recommendations would be most welcome.

Thanks in advance

Sushi-Hiro is arguably the best sushi restaurant in London with top reviews in Time Out (it's on their top 100 restaurants in London list) and apparently frequented by people such as Heston Blumenthal. It's just opposite Ealing Common tube station, and is very very reasonably priced. However, I'm not sure the atmosphere is quite right for Valentine's Day - it's a clinical place devoted purely to just providing the finest sushi without any frills. It's all white walls and plain design but you won't find better sushi.

Wow excellent reply thankyou. This isn't far from me at all yet it's never come up in any searches!! Might try a quick recon mission tomorrow to check the interior. Sounds pretty much perfect though.........I can take her somewhere nice for a chat & drinks afterwards!! Like back to my place hehe.....

Sushi Hiro is excellent for sushi/sashimi/etc. They don't do any hot food though, and you'll probably have to book in advance, as they're usually fully booked at weekends.
