Hi, I built this PC 'round about 7 or 8 months ago, and it was working fine one day until all of a sudden windows explorer stopped responding over and over again, within a VERY short amount of time.
I found out the cause to be a windows update, which I fixed by reinstalling windows, BUT, since then, all hell has broken loose. I'm having trouble installing loads of programs, some wont even start, or some crash as soon as you click the button to open them, without the programs even starting (you just get the crash message) some, like 3DS max, for example, you click to open, and..nothing happens. At all. No crash message, the programs doesnt even seem to begin to start. I have tried reinstalling windows a few times since, and jut get the same errors. All I can put it down to myself is a Hardware error or virus that has got under the bonnet and cannot be gotten rid of. I even reformatted when I reinstalled windows.
It's installed on a SSD, but I dunno if that's the problem, as I know some fail easily. Anyone able to help...? I have no idea what i'm doing or how to diagnose problems. I have tried a few diagnosis programs, but they all come back fine.
Anyone come across anything similar? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
EDIT: Sorry if this is the wrong thread, Ive never been much good as navigating forums.
