Suspended animation

If I could be sure some twerp wasn't going to drop a bomb or something on me while I was sleeping, I'd consider a 100 year trip.

On the bright side you're unlikely to know anything about it, you'd just never wake up from the suspended animation because you'd be blown up. Since you've got to die at some point not knowing that you're about to peg it is probably an ok way to go.

I can't say I'd particularly want to be put into suspended animation, while it might be interesting to see the new technology and/or how badly we've screwed up the World, there'll probably be some major difficulties adapting and the prospect of outliving everyone I know is not appealing.

Wouldn't do it. I'd probably wake up and have to work for a space delivery company and my best friend would be a robot :p

I would want to come back quite a long time in the future after our civilisation has fallen and it is like the dark ages then I could become a god inventing new things for the people and having my pick of the women. :D

Power init!

I'd freeze my self at say 45-50 for 100-150 years, by then we'd have a way to make you young again, so then you can live for ever as a 20 something year old

I would probably do this when i reached age 50 or such knowledgeable age. Then spend my final years visiting every new century up until 4000 where death shall take me in an almighty new years party of futuristic epic splendour.

but what if the building was destroyed while you are frozen, you have effectively just been killed and never wake up :(

I think I have to wait till one of you nutters had done say 10 years od cryo sleep and then been reanimated, just to see how fubar you may have become. I think we would hope for a Star trek universe utopia but no doubt with mans nature to destroy you could end up in a nightmare with zero chance of hooker bots. A sort of "The Road" meets "madmax" with a very bad headache and no backup plan.

KJ

Still i probably do it
+1
